| Article 1 In order to ensure that customs officers use weapons and police equipment according to the law and perform their duties, these Provisions are developed in accordance with Article 6 of the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China. | | 第一条 为保证海关工作人员依法使用武器和警械，履行职责，根据《中华人民共和国海关法》第六条的规定，制定本规定。 |
Article 2 The weapons and police equipment used by customs officers shall be uniformly allocated by the General Administration of Customs with the consent of local public security authorities. Customs officers shall use weapons and police equipment in accordance with these Provisions when they perform anti-smuggling tasks.
