| Announcement on Preventing Middle East Respiratory Syndrome from Spreading into China | | 关于防止中东呼吸综合征疫情传入我国的公告 |
| According to the notification of World Health Organization (WHO), Saudi Arabia reported four more cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (“MERS”), with 2 deaths between September 16 and 29, 2018. Since September 2012, the MERS situation has continued in this country, with a total of 1,884 cases reported, including 729 deaths. To prevent the disease from spreading into China and protect the health and safety of Chinese people in Saudi Arabia, in accordance with the provisions of Frontier Health and Quarantine Law of the People's Republic of China and its implementation rules, relevant matters are announced as follows: | | 根据世界卫生组织10月3日通报：2018年9月16日至29日，沙特阿拉伯新增4例中东呼吸综合征病例，其中2例死亡；自2012年9月以来，中东呼吸综合征疫情在沙特阿拉伯持续流行，共报告1884例中东呼吸综合征病例，其中729例死亡。为防止中东呼吸综合征疫情传入我国，保护前往沙特阿拉伯人员的健康安全，根据《中华人民共和国国境卫生检疫法》及其实施细则等法律法规的规定，现公告如下： |
I. For people coming from Saudi Arabia and suffering from such symptoms as fever, cough and difficulty to breathe, they shall, before entering China, complete a health and quarantine declaration, and cooperate with relevant authorities in taking temperature and medical screening; the health and quarantine staff of the customs shall take proper medical measures to deal with the people having the above symptoms in accordance with the required procedures; and those showing the above symptoms during their travelling or within two weeks after the travelling shall be immediately hospitalized and reported to doctors about their recent travels.
．．．．．． | | 一、来自沙特阿拉伯的人员，如有发热、咳嗽、呼吸困难等急性呼吸道症状，入境时应当进行卫生检疫申报，配合海关做好体温监测、医学排查等卫生检疫工作；海关卫生检疫人员对发现有上述症状的入境人员要按照规定程序采取医学措施；旅行中或旅行后2周内出现上述症状的人员，应当立即就医，并向医生说明近期旅行史。
