The Chinese People's Armed Police Force (“CAPF”), as a component of China's armed forces, executes the public security tasks, practices the military service system recruiting both compulsory servicemen and volunteers, and implements the ordinances and regulations of the People's Liberation Army. In order to strengthen the revolutionization, modernization and regularization of the CAPF, be conducive to the command and management of troops, enhance unity, and improve combat effectiveness, these Measures are developed in accordance with the Regulation on the Military Ranks of Officers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and in light of the characteristics of the armed police forces. 中国人民武装警察部队是国家武装力量的组成部分,执行公安保卫任务,实行义务兵与志愿兵相结合的兵役制度,执行人民解放军的条令、条例。为加强中国人民武装警察部队的革命化、现代化、正规化建设,有利于部队的指挥和管理,增强团结,提高战斗力,根据《中国人民解放军军官军衔条例》,结合武警部队的特点,制定本办法。
I. The police ranks of police officers of the CAPF are the titles and insignias that mark off the different ranks and identity of police officers and represent the honors given by the state to police officers.   一、中国人民武装警察部队警官警衔,是区分警官等级、表明警官身份的称号、标志和国家给予警官的荣誉。
II. The setting of the police ranks of police officers on active duty of the CAPF shall be governed by reference to Article 7 of Chapter II of the Regulation on the Military Ranks of Officers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.   二、中国人民武装警察部队现役警官警衔等级的设置,比照《中国人民解放军军官军衔条例》第二章第七条的规定执行。
“Armed police” shall be placed before the police rank of a police officer. “Professional and technical armed police” shall be placed before the police rank of a professional and technical police officer. 警官在警衔前冠以“武警”。专业技术警官在警衔前冠以“武警专业技术”。
III. The police ranks of police officers on active duty of the CAPF shall be set in correspondence with post grades.   三、中国人民武装警察部队现役警官按照职务等级编制警衔:
(1) Commanders and political commissars of the CAPF: Lieutenant General through Major General. (一)武警部队司令员、政治委员:中将至少将;
(2) Deputy commanders and deputy political commissars of the CAPF: Lieutenant General through Senior Colonel. (二)武警部队副司令员、副政治委员:中将至大校;
(3) The police ranks of the police officers at or below the level of corps commander shall be set in accordance with Article 11 of Chapter III of the Regulation on the Military Ranks of Officers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
