The Standing Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress decides to make the following amendments to the Law of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Contractual Joint Ventures at its 18th session: | |
第九届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第十八次会议决定对《中华人民共和国中外合作经营企业法》作如下修改： |

| I. Article 19 shall be amended as: “A contractual joint venture may, within its approved scope of business, import materials it needs and export products it produces. A contractual joint venture may, within its approved scope of business and according to the principles of fairness and reasonableness, purchase the raw materials, fuels and other needed materials either on the domestic market or on the world market.” | | 一、将第十九条修改为：“合作企业可以在经批准的经营范围内，进口本企业需要的物资，出口本企业生产的产品。合作企业在经批准的经营范围内所需的原材料、燃料等物资，按照公平、合理的原则，可以在国内市场或者在国际市场购买。” |

| II. Article 20 shall be deleted. | | |
In addition, the sequential order of some articles shall be adjusted according to this Decision. | |

This Decision shall come into force as of the date of promulgation. | |

The Law of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Contractual Joint Ventures shall be re-promulgated after it has been revised according to this Decision. | |
《中华人民共和国中外合作经营企业法》根据本决定作相应的修改，重新公布。 |
