| Based on the results of the Fourth National Economic Census, the basic information of units and persons employed by region is released as the following: | | 根据第四次全国经济普查结果，现将我国分区域的单位和从业人员基本情况公布如下： |
| I. Basic Information of the Units | | 一、单位基本情况 |
| At the end of 2018, there were 12.802 million legal entities in the eastern areas of China, accounting for 58.8 percent of the total, 0.5 percentage point lower than that at the end of 2013; there were 4.929 million in the central areas, accounting for 22.6 percent, 0.1 percentage point higher; and 4.058 million were in the western areas, accounting for 18.6 percent, 0.4 percentage point higher. The number of establishments in eastern areas was 14.083 million, accounting for 57.4 percent; that in central areas was 5.684 million, accounting for 23.2 percent; and 4.783 million were in the western areas, accounting for 19.5 percent. | | 2018年末，东部地区拥有法人单位1280.2万个，占58.8%，比2013年末下降了0.5个百分点；中部地区492.9万个，占22.6%，提高了0.1个百分点；西部地区405.8万个，占18.6%，提高了0.4个百分点。东部地区拥有产业活动单位1408.3万个，占57.4%；中部地区568.4万个，占23.2%；西部地区478.3万个，占19.5%。 |
