In accordance with the Opinions of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council on the Establishment of the “Belt and Road” International Commercial Dispute Resolution Mechanism and Institutions (No. 19 [2018], General Office of the CPC Central Committee), for purposes of strengthening and promoting international exchange and cooperation, guaranteeing and promoting the smooth progress of the trial work of the China International Commercial Court and supporting the resolution of international commercial disputes by such various means as mediation, arbitration and litigation, the Supreme People's Court has decided to establish the International Commercial Expert Committee, which consists of Chinese and foreign experts employed by the Supreme People's Court. The experts will be authorized by the China International Commercial Court to provide the parties with mediation and other services in resolving international commercial disputes, provide the people's courts with consulting advice on special legal issues involved in the trial of international commercial dispute cases, and provide the Supreme People's Court with opinions and recommendations on the development of relevant judicial interpretations and judicial policies.
