Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Setting up the National Defense Education Day of the Whole People		全国人民代表大会常务委员会关于设立全民国防教育日的决定
(Adopted at the 23rd Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress on August 31, 2001)		（２００１年８月３１日第九届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二十三次会议通过）
In order to make the national defense education universal and strengthen the whole people's sense of national defense, and in accordance with Article 12 of Law of the People's Republic of China on National Defense Education, it is decided at the 23rd Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress that: “The third Saturday in September of each year shall be the National Defense Education Day of the Whole People.”		为普及国防教育，增强全民的国防观念，根据《中华人民共和国国防教育法》第十二条的规定，第九届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二十三次会议决定：每年９月的第三个星期六为全民国防教育日。
