| Since patent electronic application (hereinafter referred to as “electronic application”) is promoted from 2010, with the active cooperation of applicants and agencies, electronic application has made new breakthroughs. In June 2013, the monthly rate of patent electronic application throughout the country has reached 85%, and the monthly rate of electronic applications by agencies has reached 99%. In response to the general requirements of the state for energy conservation and environmental protection as well as construction of a conservation-minded society, in light of the current development status of electronic application services, and to achieve issuance of documents as required, we hereby announce the relevant issues concerning the issuance of paper copies of notices on electronic application (hereinafter referred to as “copies of notices”) as follows: | | 自2010年专利电子申请（以下简称电子申请）推广工作开展以来，在广大申请人和代理机构的积极配合下，电子申请工作取得了新突破。2013年6月，全国专利月电子申请率达到85%，代理机构月电子申请率达到99%。为响应国家节能环保、建设节约型社会的总体要求，结合电子申请业务的发展现状，实现按需发文，现就电子申请通知书纸件副本（以下简称通知书副本）发文有关事项通知如下： |
| I. From August 1, 2013, all notices and decisions sent by the Patent Office to electronic application users shall be sent in the form of electronic documents through the patent electronic application system, and the Patent Office will no longer take the initiative to send the copies of notices to the mailing address specified in the electronic applications. | | 一、2013年8月1日起，专利局向电子申请用户发送的各种通知书和决定，均以电子文件形式通过专利电子申请系统发送，不再主动向电子申请中指定的收件地址邮寄通知书副本。 |
II. Registered users of electronic application may, through the website of electronic application, request the Patent Office to send the copies of notices to their mailing addresses for patent application, and those who do not file a request shall be deemed as not needing any copies of notices. Users may visit the website of patent electronic application (www.cponline.gov.cn) to learn about the operation method.
