| Announcement on the Imposition of Special Safeguard Measures on the Import of Butter and Other Fats and Oils Originated in New Zealand in 2017 | | 关于2017年进口原产于新西兰的黄油和其他脂和油实施特殊保障措施的公告 |
In accordance with the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of New Zealand (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”), China is to impose special safeguard measures on the agricultural products originated in New Zealand under 12 HS codes. By January 10, 2017, the quantity of declared imports of butter and other fats and oils (HS codes: 04051000 and 04059000) subject to special safeguard measures has reached 15,387 tons, which has exceeded the trigger level of 14,582 tons subject to special safeguard measures for 2017. Therefore, as of January 11, 2017, the levy of import tariffs on butter and other fats and oils originated in New Zealand and imported under the Agreement will be resumed at the most-favored-nation rates. The application of tariff rates to in-transit agricultural products and other relevant matters shall be governed by the provisions of the Announcement No. 91 [2008] of the General Administration of Customs.
