Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council of the People's Republic of China paid an official visit to Cambodia from April 7 to 8, 2006, at the invitation of Samdech Prime Minister Hun Sen of the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia. | | 一、应柬埔寨王国政府首相洪森的邀请，中华人民共和国国务院总理温家宝于2006年4月7日至8日对柬埔寨王国进行正式访问。 |
| During his visit, Premier Wen Jiabao held talks with Samdech Prime Minister Hun Sen, called on His Majesty Preah Bath Samdech Preah Baromneath Norodom Sihamoni, king of Cambodia, and met with Samdech Chea Sim, president of the Senate, and Samdech Heng Samrin, president of the National Assembly. The two sides had in-depth exchange of views on strengthening bilateral relations and international and regional issues of mutual interest in a cordial and friendly atmosphere and reached broad agreement. | The two sides signed the following documents: (1) Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Royal Government of Cambodia. (2) Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Combating Transnational Crime. (3) Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia on Cooperation in the Field of Health. (4) Memorandum of Understanding on the Construction of Greater Mekong Sub-region Information Superhighway Network Cambodian Section between the Ministry of Information Industry of People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Cambodia. (5) Agreement between the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of the People's Republic of China and the Authority for the Protection and Management of Angkor and the Region of Siem Reap of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the Second-Phase Project of the Joint Protection of Angkor Temples. (6) Exchange of Notes on the Provisions of 30 Fire Trucks to the Royal Government of Cambodia by the Government of the People's Republic of China. (7) Exchange of Notes on the Provision of One Unit of THSCAN Mobile Container Scanning System to the Royal Government of Cambodia by the Government of the People's Republic of China. (8) Exchange of Notes on the Survey Study of the Project of Establishment of National Botanical Garden in Cambodia. (9) The General Loan Agreement Regarding the Utilization of 200 Million U.S. dollar Preferential Buyer's Credit from the Government of the People's Republic of China to the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia between the Export and Import Bank of China and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kingdom of Cambodia. | 2. The two sides reviewed the growth of China-Cambodia relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations. They were delighted to see the continuous growth of China-Cambodia friendship forged and nurtured by successive Chinese leaders and His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk, the King Father of Cambodia. They expressed satisfaction with the fruitful bilateral cooperation based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence in the political, economic, social, cultural and other fields. | | 二、双方回顾了中柬建交以来两国关系的发展历程，对中国历代领导人和诺罗敦·西哈努克前国王陛下共同缔造和精心培育的中柬友谊的不断发展感到高兴，对两国在和平共处五项原则基础上所开展的政治、经济、社会、文化等领域富有成果的合作感到满意。 |
The two sides briefed each other on the domestic developments of the situation in their respective countries. The Chinese side congratulated the people of Cambodia on the remarkable achievements they had made in maintaining political stability, consolidating national unity, promoting economic growth and expanding external ties under the leadership of His Majesty Preah Bath Samdech Preah Baromneath Norodom Sihamoni and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia headed by Samdech Prime Minister Hun Sen. The Chinese side reiterated its respect for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the path of development embarked upon by the people of Cambodia in accordance with their national conditions and its readiness to continue to assist in Cambodia's economic development to the best of its capability. The Cambodian side highly appreciated the achievements made by China in its reform, opening-up and modernization drive and supported China's initiative to build a Harmonious Asia and the efforts it had made towards this end. Both sides were confident that China's development is conducive to peace, stability and development in both the region and the world at large.
