In order to safeguard the lawful rights and interests of citizens with economic difficulties and promote social fairness and justice, in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on Legal Aid (Order No. 385, State Council) and the Regulation of Beijing Municipality on Legal Aid | | 为维护经济困难公民的合法权益，促进社会公平正义，根据《法律援助条例》（国务院令第385号）、《北京市法律援助条例》规定，结合本市实际，现就扩大法律援助事项范围通知如下： |
In addition to matters as prescribed in paragraph 1 of Article 10 of the Regulation on Legal Aid (Order No. 385, State Council) and Article 9 of the Regulation of Beijing Municipality on Legal Aid, in any of the following matters where a citizen needs an agent but fails to entrust one, and he or she meets the requirements for applying for legal aid due to economic difficulties, the citizen may apply to the legal aid institutions for legal aid:
