For the purposes of implementing the spirit of the conference on securities and futures regulation, better serving the real economy, meeting the market demand and improving the function of the futures market, the Shanghai Futures Exchange has revised the Measures of the Shanghai Futures Exchange for the Administration of Risk Control, which involves the position gradient margin system and the position limit system, among others. The aforementioned revisions, as deliberated and adopted by the board of directors of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, and reported to the China Securities Regulatory Commission, are hereby issued, and shall come into force on March 18, 2019. In particular, the revised position limit system will take effect at the time of trading on March 18, 2019 (i.e. the continuous trading on the night of March 15), and the abolition of the position gradient margin system will come into effect at the close of March 18, 2019.
