To effectively implement requirements for the simplification of administrative procedures and delegation of powers to lower levels, and further promote the transformation of government functions, after the Ministry of Transport communicated and coordinated with the General Administration of Customs (“GAC”), the GAC issued the Announcement of the General Administration of Customs on Adjustments to the Pilot Program of Transporting Containers for Domestic and Foreign Trade on the Same Vessels and Carrying Goods Subject to Customs Transit by International Navigation Vessels of Chinese Nationality (No. 44 [2014]) on June 17, 2014, in which the relevant recordation requirements for the transportation of containers for domestic and foreign trade on the same vessel and the carriage of goods subject to customs transit by international navigation vessels of Chinese nationality and the handling procedures thereof are adjusted.
