| Announcement of the Cyberspace Administration of China on Clarifying the Clause Involving Security Assessment in the Provisions on the Administration of Blockchain Information Services | | 国家互联网信息办公室关于《区块链信息服务管理规定》涉安全评估条款说明的公告 |
Article 9 of the Provisions on the Administration of Blockchain Information Services issued by the Cyberspace Administration of China (“CAC”) expressly provides that “where a blockchain information service provider develops and launches any new products, applications or functions, it shall, in accordance with relevant provisions, report it to the CAC or the cyberspace administration of the province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government for security assessment”. For the purposes of implementing the requirements in the Provisions and guiding the relevant enterprises in carrying out security assessment, the relevant requirements for security assessment are hereby clarified as follows:
