| Recently, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of State Security, and the Ministry of Justice jointly issued the Several Provisions on Further Regulating the Acts of Contact and Interaction between Judicial Personnel and the Parties, Lawyers, Special Interested Parties, and Intermediaries (hereinafter referred to as Provisions). I Effectively thinking and acting in accordance with the requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The further regulation of the acts of contact and interaction between judicial personnel and the parties, lawyers, special interested parties, and intermediaries is an important measure to implement the spirit of the Third and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 18th CPC Central Committee, enhance supervision of judicial activities, and ensure judicial justice and improve judicial public credibility. The interactions of judicial personnel, including prosecutorial personnel, with the outside embody judicial image and have a bearing on judicial justice. Any improper act of judicial personnel may result in the doubt of the public about judicial justice, and thus undermine the people's faith in rule of law. The regulation of the acts of contact and interaction between judicial personnel and the parties, lawyers, special interested parties, and intermediaries helps prevent the parties, lawyers, special interested parties, and intermediaries from intervening in or exerting influence on the handling of cases with improper methods, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the parties; helps prevent interest transmission and solidify the "separating wall" preventing judicial corruption; and helps maintain the integrity and correct implementation of the state laws, and protect fairness and justice of society. The people's procuratorate at all levels shall fully understand the significance of building this system, and effectively make thoughts and acts conform to the arrangement and requirements of the Central Committee of the CPC.
