As decided at the 27th session of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People's Congress, the Measures for the Election of Deputies from the Chinese People's Liberation Army to the National People's Congress and Local People's Congresses at and above the County Level are amended as follows: | |
第十一届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二十七次会议决定对《中国人民解放军选举全国人民代表大会和县级以上地方各级人民代表大会代表的办法》作如下修改： |

| I. Paragraph 1 of Article 5 is amended to read: “Members of the PLA in active service, special and normal retirees who have been settled in the PLA or are awaiting transfer to the local governments for settlement, civilian officers, staffers, employees and non-active service logistical personnel who are working in the PLA, and other persons who are administratively affiliated to the PLA shall participate in PLA elections.” | | 一、将第五条第一款修改为：“人民解放军现役军人，在军队安置和待移交地方安置的离休、退休人员，在军队工作的文职人员、职员、职工、非现役公勤人员以及行政关系在军队的其他人员，参加军队选举。” |

| II. One paragraph is added to Article 8 as paragraph 3: “The term of office for an election committee shall be five years, and the election committee shall perform its functions until a new election committee is established.” | | 二、第八条增加一款，作为第三款：“选举委员会任期五年，行使职权至新的选举委员会产生为止。” |

| III. Article 9 is amended to read: “The PLA Election Committee shall be composed of 11 to 19 members, including one chairman, one to three vice-chairmen, and other members. An election committee at any other level shall be composed of seven to 17 members, including one chairman, one or two vice-chairmen, and other members.” | | 三、将第九条修改为：“人民解放军选举委员会由十一至十九人组成，设主任一人，副主任一至三人，委员若干人。其他各级选举委员会由七至十七人组成，设主任一人，副主任一至二人，委员若干人。” |

| IV. One item is added to Article 10 as item (5): “determine whether the election results are valid and publish a list of elected deputies to the people's congress.” | | 四、第十条增加一项，作为第五项：“（五）确定选举结果是否有效，公布当选的人民代表大会代表名单”。 |
The original item (5) of Article 10 is renumbered as item (6). | |

| V. One paragraph is added to Article 17 as paragraph 4: “The term of a servicemen congress is five years. The term of office of delegates to a servicemen congress shall start from the date when the servicemen congress holds its first meeting to the date when the servicemen congress of the next term holds its first meeting.” | | 五、第十七条增加一款，作为第四款：“军人代表大会每届任期五年。军人代表大会代表任期从本届军人代表大会举行第一次会议开始，到下届军人代表大会举行第一次会议为止。” |

VI. Paragraph 2 of Article 18 is amended to read: “Organizations of the Communist Party of China at various levels in the PLA may recommend candidates for deputies. Ten or more voters or delegates to a servicemen congress may also jointly recommend candidates for deputies. Those who submit recommendations shall introduce the candidates to the election committee or the servicemen committee. The candidates for deputies who have accepted recommendations shall faithfully provide their basic personal information to the election committee or the servicemen committee. If any of the basic information provided is not true, the election committee or the servicemen committee shall inform the voters or delegates to the servicemen congress.”
