In accordance with the decision and plan of the CPC Central Committee to deepen the institutional reform of the Party and state, the duties of price supervisory inspection and anti-monopoly law enforcement have been transferred from the National Development and Reform Commission to the State Administration for Market Regulation. The State Administration for Market Regulation issued on December 21, 2018, the Interim Provisions on the Procedures for Administrative Penalties for Market Regulation (Order No. 2, SAMR) which shall come into force on April 1, 2019. For the purpose of effectively conducting system alignment, it is hereby decided to repeal one set of rule (see Annex 1), namely, the Provisions on the Procedures for Price-Related Administrative Penalties, and five regulatory documents (see Annex 2) including the Notice of Issuing the Provisions on Price Departments' Filing of Requests with Administrative Departments for Industry and Commerce for Revoking the Business Licenses of Businesses Violating Price Laws.
