| Announcement on the Imposition of Special Safeguard Measures on the Import of Beef Originated in Australia in 2019 | | 关于2019年进口原产于澳大利亚的牛肉实施特殊保障措施的公告 |
In accordance with the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Australia (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”), China is to impose special safeguard measures on the agricultural products originated in Australia under eight HS codes. By August 15, 2019, the quantity of declared import of beef (HS codes: 02011000, 02012000, 02013000, 02021000, 02022000, and 02023000) subject to special safeguard measures has reached 172,411 tons, which has exceeded the trigger level of import available for 2019. Therefore, as of August 17, 2019, the levy of import tariffs on beef originated in Australia and imported under the Agreement will be resumed to the most-favored-nation rates.
