| As decided by the Ministry of Transport, the Rules of the People's Republic of China on the Safety Supervision of Ships (Order No. 14 [2017], Ministry of Transport) are amended as follows: | | 交通运输部决定对《中华人民共和国船舶安全监督规则》（交通运输部令2017年第14号）作如下修改： |
I. One article is added as Article 47: “For a freight container intended to be delivered to a ship for international transport, the shipper shall adopt an entirety weighing method or a cumulative computation method to verify the weight of the container before delivery to the ship, so as to ensure that the verified weight of the container does not exceed the maximum gross mass marked on the container, the margin of error between the verified weight and the actual weight does not exceed ±5% and the maximum error does not exceed one ton, and shall indicate the verification information such as the verified weight, verification method and verification statement on the transport documents and provide such information to the carrier and port operator.
