In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Measures for the Administration of National Eco-Industrial Demonstration Parks (for Trial Implementation) (No. 188 [2007], MEP), from April 2014 to October 2014, the Office of Leading Group for Coordinating the Construction of National Eco-Industrial Demonstration Parks has organized experts to conduct an on-site acceptance check on the establishment of national eco-industrial demonstration parks by Changzhou National Hi-Tech District, Changshu Economic & Technological Development Zone, and Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area. Upon review, the aforesaid three zones have completed the objectives and tasks set forth in their plans, and their basic conditions and key indicators also have satisfied the requirements of the Standards for Comprehensive Eco-Industrial Parks. According to the opinions of experts and the publication information, upon deliberation, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Science and Technology hereby decide to approve Changzhou National Hi-Tech District, Changshu Economic & Technological Development Zone and Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area as national eco-industrial demonstration parks.
