The Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Amending the Land Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, which was adopted at the 11th session of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, is hereby promulgated, and shall come into force as of the date of its promulgation. | |
《全国人民代表大会常务委员会关于修改〈中华人民共和国土地管理法〉的决定》已由中华人民共和国第十届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第十一次会议于2004年8月28日通过，现予公布，自公布之日起施行。 |

The 11th Session of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress decides to make the following revisions on the Land Administration Law of the People's Republic of China: | |
第十届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第十一次会议决定对《中华人民共和国土地管理法》作如下修改： |

| 1. Paragraph 4 of Article 2 shall be amended as: “The state may make expropriation or requisition on land according to law for public interests, but shall give compensations accordingly.” | | 一、第二条第四款修改为：“国家为了公共利益的需要，可以依法对土地实行征收或者征用并给予补偿。” |
| |
|
| 2. The “Requisition” in paragraph 2 of Article 43, Article 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 78, and 79 shall be amended as “Expropriation”. | | 二、将第四十三条第二款、第四十五条、第四十六条、第四十七条、第四十九条、第五十一条、第七十八条、第七十九条中的“征用”修改为“征收”。 |
The present Decision shall come into force as of the date of its promulgation. | |
本决定自公布之日起施行。 |
The Land Administration Law of the People's Republic of China shall be re-promulgated after being amended in light of the present Decision. | |
《中华人民共和国土地管理法》根据本决定作修改后，重新公布。 |
