For the purpose of maintaining the border safety and protecting the lawful rights and interests of the people in accordance with the law, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Inspection of Imported and Exported Commodities and the Regulation for the Implementation thereof, the General Administration of Customs (“GACC”) has decided to conduct random inspections of some imported and exported commodities other than those subject to statutory inspection from the date of issuance of this Announcement. See the Annex for the scope of commodities subject to random inspections.
