| On June 15, 2018, the U.S. Government issued a list of products subject to additional tariffs, and decided to impose an additional tariff of 25% on products imported from China worth approximately USD50 billion, of which products with a value of approximately USD34 billion are to be subject to additional tariffs from July 6, 2018; and, at the same time, public comments are being requested on the imposition of additional tariffs on products worth approximately USD16 billion. These actions of the United States have violated the relevant rules of the WTO, contravened the consensus that had been reached by China and the United States through consultation, severely infringed upon the legitimate rights and interests of China, and threatened the interests of our country and people. | | 2018年6月15日，美国政府发布了加征关税的商品清单，将对从中国进口的约500亿美元商品加征25%的关税，其中对约340亿美元商品自2018年7月6日起实施加征关税，同时就约160亿美元商品加征关税开始征求公众意见。美方这一措施违反了世界贸易组织相关规则，有悖于中美双方磋商已达成的共识，严重侵犯我方的合法权益，威胁我国国家和人民的利益。 |
In accordance with the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, the Regulation of the People's Republic of China on Import and Export Duties and other laws and regulations and the basic principles of the international law, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council has decided to impose an additional tariff of 25% on imports of products originating in the United States in 659 tariff items worth approximately USD50 billion, of which products in 545 tariff items worth approximately USD34 billion are to be subject to additional tariffs from July 6, 2018, with the time of imposition of additional tariffs on the remaining products to be announced separately.
