| 1.At the invitation of His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, His Excellency Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, President of the Republic of Maldives, paid a State Visit to the People's Republic of China from 6th to 9th December, 2017. | | 一、应中华人民共和国主席习近平邀请，马尔代夫共和国总统阿卜杜拉·亚明·阿卜杜尔·加尧姆于2017年12月6日至9日对中国进行国事访问。 |
| 2.During the visit, His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom held talks with His Excellency President Xi Jinping and met with Premier of the State Council His Excellency Mr. Li Keqiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress His Excellency Mr. Zhang Dejiang separately. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaders of the two countries had an in-depth exchange of views on strengthening traditional friendship and bilateral relationship, and reached broad consensus. | | 二、访问期间，国家主席习近平同亚明总统举行会谈，国务院总理李克强、全国人大常委会委员长张德江分别会见亚明总统。双方在亲切友好的氛围中就巩固中马传统友谊、深化两国友好合作深入交换意见，达成广泛共识。 |
| 3.The Maldivian side warmly congratulated the Communist Party of China (CPC) on the successful conclusion of its 19th National Congress, and the confirmation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as an action guideline of CPC by the Congress. The Maldivian side expressed its confidence that under the guidance of CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core, the Chinese people will move forward to achieving the two centenary goals and building China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful. | | 三、马方热烈祝贺中国共产党第十九次全国代表大会取得圆满成功并将习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想确立为中国共产党的行动指南，相信在以习近平同志为核心的中共中央领导下，中国人民将继续朝着实现“两个一百年”奋斗目标迈进，把中国建设成富强民主文明和谐美丽的社会主义现代化强国。 |
| 4.The Chinese side reiterated to deepen relations with the Maldives and other neighboring countries in accordance with the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and principles of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and the policy of forging friendship and partnership with its neighbors, to build a community with a shared future for mankind and create a bright tomorrow for all. | | 四、中方重申将继续坚持和平共处五项原则，按照亲诚惠容理念和与邻为善、以邻为伴周边外交方针深化同包括马尔代夫在内的周边国家关系，推动人类命运共同体建设，共同创造人类的美好未来。 |
| 5.The two sides agreed that ever since the establishment of diplomatic relationship 45 years ago, the two countries have been adhering to the principles of equality, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation, which has resulted to the remarkable development of the bilateral relationship. Viewing from strategic and long-term perspective, the two sides agreed to work towards elevating the existing China-Maldives Future-Oriented All-round Friendly and Cooperative Partnership to a new level. | | 五、双方一致认为，中马建交45年来，两国始终坚持平等相待、和平共处、合作共赢，双边关系取得长足发展。双方同意从战略高度和长远角度出发，推动中马面向未来的全面友好合作伙伴关系不断迈上新台阶。 |
6.The two sides reiterated their mutual understanding and support for each other on issues of core interests. The Chinese side adheres to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs, supports Maldives' independent choice of development path which suits its domestic features and wishes Maldives economic and social development greater success. The Maldivian side reaffirmed its unwavering respect to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of China and reiterated its firm commitment to uphold its One China Policy, supports China's position on Taiwan and Tibet and the efforts by the Chinese Government to realize national reunification.
