According to the authorization in paragraph 2 of Article 6 of the Environmental Protection Tax Law of the People's Republic of China and by taking into full account the environmental carrying capacity and status quo of pollutant discharge in Beijing Municipality and the requirements of economic, social, and ecological development goals, the applicable environmental protection tax rates for taxable air pollutants and water pollutants in Beijing Municipality are decided at the 42nd Session of the Standing Committee of the Fourteenth People's Congress of Beijing Municipality as follows:
